Join girls all over Northern California for the Second Annual CalChess Girls Age Level State Chess Championship! Not only is this an OFFICIAL STATE CHAMPIONSHIP for GIRLS ONLY (sorry, boys!), it's a festival to celebrate girls that love chess! Grab your girlfriends from your school or club & form a team to win the club championship trophy!

Ages 5, 6, and 7
Ages 8, and 9
Ages 10, and 11
Ages 5 -18 (Chicago Group) 5 rounds, time control-G/45 with a 5 sec delay.
9:00am, 10:45am, 12:30pm, 2:15pm and 4:00pm, with awards at 5:45pm.
Trophies to top 5 players in each Age Group.
ENTRY FEE: $40 if received by 11:59pm on February 25th, 2019. $10 late fee.
Late entry on Saturday is from 8:00-8:30am only. Checks made payable to Berkeley Chess School.($50 entry on site!)
All Tournament players must be USChess & CalChess members. You can sign up or renew your USChess Membership here.
Must be a CalChess member to play! If your name is not on this list you must buy a Cal Chess Membership when you sign up for the Tournament. CalChess memberships are valid for 1 year.

AGE CUT OFF FOR SECTIONS IS AGE AS OF FEBRUARY 1ST, 2019! PLAY UP IS ALLOWED, BUT PLAYERS ARE ONLY ALLOWED TO PLAY UP INTO THE 5-18 CHICAGO TRIP SECTION! EVERYONE MUST PLAY IN THEIR OWN AGE GROUP IF THEY ARE NOT PLAYING IN THE CHICAGO GROUP.
Prize check for Chicago must be used to play in the nationals Girl tournament in Chicago. If the player fails to play in the nationals in Chicago they will forfeit their check.
In case of a tie for Chicago. Prize will be divided equally (in case of a 2 way tie each player receives $500.00, 3 way tie each player receives $333.33)
