This is an event for Berkeley Chess School students only.
The school team tournaments are the only BCS tournaments restricted to BCS students.
Time
10:00 a.m. – 5:00 p.m. (Please arrive by 9:45 a.m.)
Registration
Entry fee is $25 if preregistered and $35 the day of the event (must be received 30 minutes before the start of the event, by 9:30 am).
Rounds
This tournament is 5 Rounds (every participant will play 5 games of chess).
Round 1: 10:00 am
Round 2: 11:10 am
Round 3: 12:20 pm
Round 4: 1:30 pm
Round 5: 2:40 pm
Award Ceremony
Trophy Ceremony 4:00 - 4:30pm (please take lots of pictures & share them with us) 52 Trophies will be awarded! 10 trophies will be awarded to the top 10 Schools, another 40 to the top 4 players of each top 10 School! (1 special Trophy)
Team Scoring
This is a Team (Elementary School) tournament!
Top 4 scorers from a school are counted towards the Team Score. For example if you have 6 players from Cornell and they score
5/5, 4/5, 3/5, 3/5, 2.5/5, and 2/5, Cornell Team Score would be 15/20 (the bottom two scorers are not counted).
Byes
Up to two half point byes allowed (meaning you are allowed to miss up to two games, and still get a half point for those rounds). No byes for round 5.
Participants
Team(School) Roster advance entry list will be updated Weekly (Daily the week before the Tournament), and posted on the tournament List Page. (Please register your players early so they can see who is playing from their school, and who is on their team!)

Participants must currently be in grades kindergarten to 5.
