Immerse yourself in the exciting world of chess! Chess is fun and can be learned quickly and easily! Studies have found that chess helps improve test results in reading, science, and math, and produces growth in critical cognitive skills. Beyond academia, chess influences social behavior including self esteem, respect for others, patience, and good sportsmanship. And did we mention: it’s FUN!
The Mountain House Friday night program is from 6:00-8:00 and includes a class and a tournament. The Mountain House program is for intermediate and advanced students. There is no novice class at this location. All young students will be accepted on a provisional basis.
All participants must be fully vaccinated. Face masks are required at all times. Please send your proof of vaccination to [email protected]
The tournament is a USCF rated tournament. In order to participate, all players must have a current USCF membership. You can purchase or renew a membership on our website at https://bcs.jumbula.com/USCFMembership/USCFMembership
