Seminar with GM Elect Josiah Stearman.
This class is for adults and kids with a USCF rating between 1600-2000
It will run Monday through Friday from 2:00-5:00pm.

This 5-day intensive seminar is designed for players rated 1600 -2000 USCF seeking to deepen their understanding of positional and tactical play to achieve Expert level and beyond. Using lessons learned from the famous championship games of history; and taking a deep dive into the triumphs (and blunders!) of his own career, GM-elect Stearman will help students develop their creativity and strengthen their analytical skills through lecture, guided instruction, and play.
Josiah Stearman is a 20 year old Grandmaster-elect with a Bachelor’s degree in Applied Mathematics from the UC Berkeley; and a Master’s degree in Education from the University of MO, Columbia, where he played, on scholarship, for the collegiate chess team. He became an NM at age ten, an FM at twelve, and an IM at seventeen! In 2023, Josiah earned all 3 GM Norms, qualified for the World Cup in Baku, and secured the wildcard for the US Junior Closed Championship. GM-elect Stearman has taught and coached chess throughout his collegiate career with accolades from all!
